The Steenmeulen

A tourist site classified
as an Historic Monument

The Steenmeulen is a Dutch-style windmill built in 1864 & a museum of Flemish rural life at the beginning of the 20th century in "Hauts-de-France" region, in French Flanders, 35 minutes from the city of Lille.

Joseph & Véra Markey, a couple of millers, share their heritage with you with passion. The premises are laid out in such a way as to transmit the knowledge of yesteryear with a lot of pedagogy.

Uitstekend bezoek !

Ik heb er veel van genoten. Onze gids is gepassioneerd, dynamisch, ingenieus en fascinerend. Bedankt om ons erfgoed levend te houden.
